Cecilia Méndez Needs a Sandwich
She may have the quirky charm of a twelve year old boy (which is always a plus in the fashion world) but Argentine model Cecilia Méndez is in serious need of a late night pizza binge.
I thought the world had moved past its interest in waif models? I guess I am thus disproven, thanks to Ceci’s photoshoot for Italy’s “Velvet” magazine.
Her dresses may be fabulous and her whole retro Twiggy vibe may be adorable, but damn, this girl’s body is way too sickly to be beautiful. What gives?

She´s naturally skinny.I photographed her in Argentina when she started out.She must have been around 17.I was covering the Buenos Aires Fashion Week and she was doing a bikin runway show.I remember her being really shy but I knew she was going to get far.There are a lot of girls here in Argentina that are naturally really, really skinny but eat everything without having to diet.Just thank god she didn´t put on fake boobs like a lot of models do down here (probably why she´s doing better abroad than here!).
