The Night’s Big Winners

While there were a few surprises here and there, on the whole, it seems that Juanes took the 9th Annual Latin Grammys by storm, and pretty much sent everyone else crying home.

The Colombian rockero hit the jackpot with four awards, including “Record of the Year,” “Album of the Year,”  “Song of the Year,” and “Male Pop Vocal Album.”

Boricua newcomer Kany Guerra took home two awards for “Best New Artist” and “Female Pop Vocal Album.”

Other wins included “Pop Album for a Duo or Group” for Belanova, “Urban Music Album,” for Wisin y Yandel, “Urban Song” for Flex, “Rock Song” for Cafe Tacuba, “Best Contemporary Tropical Album” for Jose Feliciano, and “Alternative Music Album” for Julieta Venegas.

And on that note, I end today’s extensive coverage of the 9th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. I’m going to go shower and nap and try my hardest to get “Me Enamora” out of my head!
