Out with the Old, In with the Older
It has recently been announced that Thalía will formally break all ties and commitments with EMI Music after a ten year musical relationship.
Thalia is set to move on to Casablanca Records (property of her old man esposo) for the production of her upcoming album, and is said to feature and English-language duet with Robbie Williams.
To me, there always seems to be something shady going on when labels and artists split. When Kat DeLuna split with Epic Records late last month, it was rumored that she had been cut from the label after shitty record sales (even though Kat’s reps maintained she was the one who called the shots).
Sure, Thalía was good for a few semi-good kind-of hits back in the day, but I can’t seem to recall anything she’s done lately. I can’t even think of any memorable tracks off her latest album, “Lunada.”
