Is This Really a Good Idea?
Most of you who participated in our survey yesterday said that you’d like us to review “Seven Pounds” with Will Smith and Rosario Dawson.
Unfortunately -for you, as well as for me- the drama about a suicidal man forced to reckon with his actions doesn’t open until next week. (Some of you also asked for “Milk,” which is next on our list!)
Instead, it was “Nothing Like the Holidays” that premiered last night, with the film’s cast walking the red carpet in Hollywood.
The film tells the story of the a Puerto Rican family living in Chicago, faced with the drama and dilemmas the holidays bring. The film stars Alfred Molina, Freddy Rodríguez, Jay Hernandez, John Leguizamo…and Debra Messing?
Well, I fully plan on standing by my word in bringing you reviews of any movie, no matter how crappy or ridiculous it may seem.

This movie is not at the top of my movies to watch list. I do find John Leguizamo hilarious and support his comedy work and like Debra Messing’s spunk, but It’s just going to showcase how Latinos act during the holidays. Its no shocker we are family oriented and eat till we pass out.
i usually hate john leguizamo, but to me this looks good and i love debra so i will see it.
I think its stupid that Debra Messing being in this role should be a problem for anyone. It’s obviously meant to address the issues of interracial realtionships. And that’s nothing new.
