‘Camelia la Texana’ Stars Spill Frijoles On New Narcoseries (EXCLUSIVE)

‘Camelia la Texana’ Stars Lossip Exclusive

Telemundo is going balls to the wall with its latest production, Camelia la Texana, based on the classic song of the same name by the legendary Los Tigres del Norte. Here at Lossip, we decided to get the scoop on what’s being dubbed by the network as a “superseries” – straight from the horse’s mouth. The show’s protagonists Sara Maldonado and Erik Hayser, along with their co-stars Andres Palacios and Dagoberto Gama, gave us the lowdown recently on the upcoming narcoseries set in the 1970s.

While everything ran on point at the press day we attended for Camelia la Texana, there was also some behind-the-scenes drama as several journalists claimed Maldonado kept yawning and twiddling with her phone while being interviewed. We could tell the Mexican actress, who mentioned she’d been going at it since early that morning, was starting to lose her patience because we’re sure she wanted to take a break from the interviews and grab a bite. Anyhow, that’s how the business works, right?

Below are excerpts from both the press conference and our one-on-one with the new show’s cast members. Are you excited to see Camelia la Texana when it hits the air on Feb. 25th (10pm/9pm central) or do you think this will be just another narcoseries? Read our full interview with the shiny new cast:

Sara, we’ve seen you posing provocatively in several ads for Camelia la Texana. Any chance you’ll be doing a promotional calendar for the series?

“No, none…”

Not even to promote yourself?

“… Nope, even less.”
