Once a Diva, Always a Diva

Jennifer Lopez

It seems the days of Jenny from the Block are long gone. La Lopez’s label is fed up with her pricey record label demands that are costing them too much, especially since they’re no longer making that much bank of the songstress.

Her record label only makes an average $4 per CD for “Brave”, released Oct. 9 selling a mere 53,000 copies in its first week.

“She costs too much money and doesn’t sell enough,” says the source, who is familiar with the issue. “Her last album cover alone cost $60,000 in hair and makeup, lighting, photographers, re-touching, etc. The video budget was in the neighborhood of $300,000.”

All costs for her performance on “Good Morning America” were also absorbed by the label.

“Epic had to eat the cost for that entire performance. From her makeup — which typically costs in the neighborhood of $8,000 per day — to the backup singers, to the rigging, lighting and sound,” says a source close to the Lopez camp. “The woman requires everything short of flying monkeys to get on a stage.”

Her days are numbered! Between the flop that was “El Cantante” and now this, J. Lo better place all her energy on those twins she’s gonna have because it seems everyone else is sick of the diva.
