It was another fancy pants event last night, as Burberry and Vanity Fair hosted a preview of the upcoming exhibition at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, “Vanity Fair Portraits: 1913-2008.”
Actresses and models rubbed elbows, all the while taking in the sights of the exhibits portraits, featuring everyone from silent film stars to modern day divas.
Dania Ramirez, Paz Vega, Rosario Dawson and Zoë Saldaña were the noteworthy Latina faces present at the exhibit’s grand opening, although its sad to say that some of these mujeres were better dressed than others.
For example, while Dania Ramirez and her painted-on eyebrows may have rocked a flattering little blue dresss, it seems poor Rosario and Zoë were functioning under the misconception that frumpy is fabulous.
Both women detracted from their beautiful smiles with unbelievable plain dresses; Rosario in an irridescent green potato sack, and Zoë in a bored-to-tears black lace dress.
The re-opening of the Burberry store in Beverly Hills attracted some very polished and sophisticated superestrellas to the event’s…white carpet?
Dania Ramirez and Daisy Fuentes were just a few of the names who came out for the store’s event, with other names including Liv Tyler, Kate Hudson, Mischa Barton, Kate Beckinsale, and Maria Menounos, among others.
I myself am not much of a fan of Burberry for two reasons: One, I’m not really a fan of subtely integrating plaid into every element of my wardrobe; and two, I’m not willing to blow crazy amounts of money on dressing like a dumpy Englishwoman caught in a rainstorm.
But that’s just me! Apparently these mujeres are really into Burberry.
Its no surprise that some of the sexiest Latinas in the biz were named to FHM’s list of “Fall TV’s Hottest Stars.” Hot TV stars mexicana Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), dominicana Dania Ramirez (Heroes), and cubana Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Entourage) were each praised by the magazine’s list for things other than their acting skills.
It all makes perfect sense. We are, after all, exceptionally fine women as a whole. But what is a little surprising is the amount of fugly plain faces that outranked our sexy actresses!
