Granted, it seems like Eva Mendes is more model than actress these days, but that’s where we draw the line with our beef with her!
But apparently, some hard core haters out there condemned the sexy cubana for being too curvy for high fashion.
Luckily, Eva stood by her body, and effectively told her curve-haters to shut it:
“I don’t have a starving body I have a healthy toned body. I don’t think people should criticize my advert. I prepped for it a lot and I think it’s great. It was in the desert and we were all oiled up for it. That’s my job!”
Good actress? We’re still on the fence about that one. But bad body? Hell to the no! Eva’s curves are perfection.
First People en Español, then Maxim, now FHM has released their list of belleza favorites for 2009.
And it should come as no surprise that some truly fine mujeres -not the beef jerky weirdness that might have made some of those other lists- were named to the ranks of FHM’s.
The only thing we don’t understand is their ranking system?! How on Earth could chronic frumpadump Jessica Alba outrank Salma Hayek, Shakira, Eva Mendes, or even Adriana Lima?!
Our guess is that there must be some Alba bias over at FHM. Fortunately, you all know we’ve got the antidote for that.

We may bust on her acting skills, but we’ll never deny that Eva Mendes knows how to work her fashion fierceness.
And the curve-hugging, strapless yellow dress she rocked for her appearance on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” was certainly not a disappointment.

Eva Longoria, for example, hit up her local Texas Wendy’s as part of the “Father’s Day Frosty Weekend” fundraiser. The proceeds from this Frosty work go to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
We don’t know what part of Eva Longoria says “Happy Father’s Day,” but we’re always down with a girl who gets down with a good cause.
