There’s no doubt that Kat DeLuna has got one adorable little baby face, but we’re not quite so certain about the mess she was wearing at Paper Magazine’s “The Beautiful People” party in New York.
Whether it was all that 1992-looking black taffeta, or her ill-fitted crop top, poor Kat’s fashion just missed the mark. Lucky for her she’s got those cute gordita cheeks, or we’d be forced to mock her mercilessly.

What’s going on with Kat DeLuna’s look this week? The dominicana dropped in on the Badgley Mischka runway show in New York to check out the label’s hottest designs for Fall, but we’re tempted to think that Kat’s look should have been checked at the door.
While her dress is cute, the dark lipstick and her extremely pulled-back hair almost make me feel like I’m taking a stroll through my friendly, neighborhood barrio.
Am I just hating this morning? Or is Kat just some Reeboks and a pink thong away from being a full on chonga?
Poor little Kat DeLuna. This has just not been her year. First she gets busted in Texas after singing the national anthem. Then she splits with her record label. Now, she’s been attacked by the same flat iron that beat up Christina Aguilera a few months ago.
The tiny, singing, dominicana showed up to yesterday’s “Women’s Coalition for Empowerment and Opportunities Fundraiser to Benefit Shine On Sierra Leone” wearing a lovely wrap dress and adorable black shoes…but rocking some hair that was a bad mix between Cher and Cleopatra.
Tough luck, Kat. I guess it didn’t help her to be standing next to Victoria’s Secret hottie Selita Ebanks.
After her first single, “Whine Up,” sold nearly one million copies, it seems Kat DeLuna and Epic Records are calling it quits, with the baby faced dominicana deciding to move on as an independent artist.
Kat’s reps recently released this statement for her in a recent issue of Billboard:
“I am excited to step into a new phase of my career. As a young artist, I am always looking for innovative ways to expand my opportunities, from recording to performing, and I felt this was the right time to make a change. I truly do appreciate everyone at Epic Records’ support of my career and wish them all the best.”
But while Kat’s “Whine Up” may have been a sales success, her debut album and subsequent singles have sadly undersold, leaving us to wonder if it was really Kat who dropped Epic, or if it wasn’t the other way around?

Thanks to a cracking voice and a lot of needless Mariah-esque vocalizations, singer Kat DeLuna (pictured above performing at the “Fete de la Musique” festival in Paris earlier this summer) has been getting ripped into non-stop since her performance of the National Anthem at a Dallas Cowboys football game earlier this week.
After watching the video of her performance, I honestly don’t see anything excessively wrong with it. I mean, the random screams and groans are a little annoying, but they aren’t enough to make me want to boo. However, some critics of the dominicana’s performance say that it might be the worst interpretation of the National Anthem in history. What’s going on here?
