So we witnessed the MTV Los Premios Awards, which are the supposed to be the Latin version of the VMA’s. You know, to honor the Spanish speaking and singing artists and audiences. But what happens when they turn into a repeat version of the Anglo show, neglecting the air space of those who might need it more? It is a privately owned venture, but it caters to a market that has been given a variety of specialized networks: MTV and his main MTV, MTVTR3S, Latino and all other versions.
Shouldn’t they just keep it separate so that other hard working musicians have a chance to get on stage and win lenguas over the ones that have already done it at the VMA’s?
Amongst the usual latin cuota, they had too many Americanos at the event, like Robert Trujillo (who is not part of the Latino Vote just cause his Mom is from Mexico!), James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett of Metallica, who performed along with artists like Katy Perry, Tokyo Hotel and Paramore. Also present were 30 Seconds to Mars and other unexpected non-Latin appearances like Flavor Flav. That is a different kind of sabor. This is not reversed discrimination, it’s called: Please RSVP, cause you were not invited! It’s my party and we pout if we want to.

It looks like there is no one Madonna won’t collaborate with, and no one Shakira isn’t able to get now-a-days!
Parece ser que Colombian music mogul Shakira is partnering up with The Pop Queen of the World for a song? Whatever these two do is sure to turn into an empire, even if is just a track. It’ll be a hit video, hit record, hit dance track, hit fashion statement, hit doll duo, hit movie soundtrack… Can I come?
So they’re not flaming hot or mega famous yet, but I guess these 3 amigos have talent, style and yo no sequé más! Girls seem to go crazy over them (especially the really young ones) and so does the industry, for some reason. Latin Billboard Award winning group Camila from Mexico, is earning its spot slowly but surely and now tours Spain for the very first time. Opening in Bilbao on October 10th, they will feature hits like “Todo Cambió,” “Abrázame, “Coleccionista de Canciones,” and Sólo Para Ti.”
Members Mario Domm, Pablo Hurtado and Samo, will travel to seven different cities in hermosa España.
Maybe they should hook up with hot Españolas from high pop society and get photographed (thanks Kathy Griffin) to earn some “papacito” points cause we all know men get more irresistible to women when entangled in the arms of other beautiful women… Facilito.
